Siyobin's Breast Reduction Surgery - Recovery

This fundraiser is to help me (Siyobin) cover the costs related to my long-awaited breast reduction surgery on November 2nd, 2022.

My name is Siyobin Blanco, I live in Guelph, ON.

I am a queer, disabled POC who suffers from chronic pain (Fibromyalgia and more), getting this breast reduction will help greatly reduce the amount of pain that I already experience.

My bra size is 32H (which is 6 sizes larger than a D cup!) and the excess weight results in worse back, neck, shoulder and chest pain along with breathing problems and constriction around my sensitive ribs from supportive (and tightly banded) bras. I look forward to the freedom that comes with the surgery!

The surgery itself is, thankfully, covered by OHIP. However, I am asking for help during the recovery process and to buy items to make my recovery easier. As a person with a disability, I anticipate that my recovery time will be longer than most because that's usually what happens to my body with any kind of stress. I'm not sure how long it will take me to get back on my feet and be able to work again.

My fiance, Devon, is also taking an unpaid week off of work to care for me. So, we will be behind financially from his time off work and the unknown amount of time I will need to recover.
