Bailey Family House Fire

My name is Crystal and I am Heather and Scott Bailey’s eldest daughter. I have set up this GoFundMe on behalf of my parents. On August 22 at approximately 1 AM, there was an electrical fire that started in my mom’s and dad’s basement. They were not aware of the fire until it had engulfed the basement and made its way up the stairs where their dogs sleep at night. Dad was awoken by the dogs’ strange barks (made so most likely by the smoke inhalation that they had already endured). He made his way into the kitchen area to find smoke billowing out of the stairwell doorway. He went back to wake mom up to get her out of the house safely (she has just had major hip replacement surgery). He then hurried back to find the door to the basement stairs had been burst open by the pressure of the flames that opening the front door had created. After multiple attempts to retrieve them, all 3 of their beloved dogs were unfortunately unable to be saved and they succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning before the firefighters were able to put out the flames. Anyone that knows my parents knows that these fur babies meant the world to them. We’re very grateful to these pups for saving our parents’ lives and they will be so severely missed by us all. Their house is a different story. In a basic sense, they have lost everything they have ever worked for except the clothes that they exited their home with and are now doing their best to cope and wait to be told their next moves. We have been informed that their house is most likely a complete loss and they will be displaced for an unknown amount of time. My parents have NEVER asked for help from anyone, and probably never would, but they would give the shirt off their back to a stranger and I am doing this for them without their knowledge (of course they’ll find out once it’s posted). If you can please find it in your heart to give even a single dollar to help ease the loss for my mama and daddy, I would be forever grateful.
