Hello, my name is Anthony Ryans, and I'm doing a fundraiser for my Aunt Skavon during this difficult time. She lost her only child on June 21, 2022. Her sons birthday is rapidly approaching ( May 17th ). She has sisters who visit her regularly, to offer her support. She has been trying to move on with her life by offering her time at her church and spending time with her grandkids. However she has yet to effectively deal with the loss of her only child. My aunt and I in the past have spoken about her getting professional help to accept the loss. She has come to the conclusion that this is what she needs to get over the hump. So my request to anyone that is reading this, is to donate to assist with services needs to deal with the loss of her only son.

My aunt's only son's name was Trevino; to family he was Shontae. He was 49 at the time of his passing. He was a proud father of three. At his funeral, one of his kids shared that he was the most loving father a kid could ask for. Trevino served in the Army for six years and fought in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. My aunt shared that he was her warrior. He was a loving father and a devoted husband. My aunt confided in me that if given the opportunity, she would gladly take his place, so that he could be with his wife and kids. My aunt also shared that my cousin like many wartime veterans returned home with PTSD. He could not stand loud noises and being around crowds of people. He spoke with his mom about some terrible things he witnessed in both wars. This made the transition back to civilian life difficult. My aunt shared that he always slept with a Bible underneath his head every night.

In closing I would like to add, my aunt has assisted many in both professional and personal development. She has always been one people can depend on. I can not think of anyone more deserving of receiving a helping hand.
