Skinner Family - Hurricane Harvey
Donation protected
Hurricane Harvey claimed thousands of people's homes and took many lives, but through our rescue efforts and missions in Lumberton, Texas with the Army National Guard, we were able to graciously work alongside the Lumberton Fire & EMS department where many of their own first responders had lost everything they had. Nearly 150 grueling hours initially of search/rescue & responding to emergency calls on top of dealing with their own losses. Jordan Skinner (an EMT/Firefighter full time at the Houston Fire Department) spent his 22nd birthday in a boat doing rescue operations, and came back with a smile on his face even though his own parents were staying at the firehouse with all of us because they were displaced. I'd like to give back to help this department that has helped this entire community and inspired me beyond comprehension. Any amount helps as they've lost their entire home and their vehicles. If you cannot help, please share.
