1st May Charity Skydive- Halle O'Brien Foundation
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Danni and i want to dedicate this fundraiser to the family and friends of Halle O'Brien who passed in 2019. This skydive will be paid by ourselves, and any money raised goes directly to the charity. Over the next couple of months, there will be several fundraisers and events to raise money to support the local community, promote awareness of the Halle O'Brien foundation, and, most importantly, continue her legacy!
On the 18th of September 2022, 4 of us skydived; myself, Georgia, Isaac and Eddie. I work for an accountancy firm BDO LLP and I am pleased three other staff members jumped with me for this great cause and that I had full support from my company. Eddie Rooney jumped on September 2022 and will also jump again in May 2023, he was the love of Halle's life, anyone who knew her or knew them could see how strong of a love they shared, it was one of a kind and she truly lives on within him. On May 1st Eddie and Heather (Halle's mum) will jump in honour of Halle.
On the 1st of May, there are 9 jumpers (8 from BDO LLP): Heather (founder), Eddie, Zainab, Adam, Isaac, Nathan, Ted, Aditee & Connor.
As much as we are jumping for Halle, we are jumping for her family, for anyone lucky enough to of known her and for the charity in her honour! She had so much good to give, so this fundraiser is something we are all passionate about and it hits home for so many. Anyone who would like to get involved, may it be with the fundraisers or by simply showing support, it will go a long way! A brief summary on the Halle O'Brien foundation is below:
The Halle OBrien CIC is a fund that has been set up by Heather, Halle's mum and her family after losing Halle in 2019 to a rare type of meningitis. Halle was an English student at university and had a real passion for learning, and had many options for her future career. We believe that Halles' love for learning through extra curriculum activities helped her become the strong independent woman she was to become. We feel that every child should be offered such opportunities. Our Mission is to inspire kids to grow.
We aim to help fund children's academic and social development when families are struggling with the cost of extra school activities.
To encourage children to follow their chosen direction and natural ability without the lack of finances holding them back. The Halle O'Brien Community Interest Company is a non-profit organisation where all donations go back into our local community.
