Skydive in memory of Kevin "Kipper" Raftery
As some of you may or may not know, I sadly lost my older brother to suicide in 2021.
I wanted to do something to help suicide prevention at first, but when I found myself really struggling, my employer British Telecom referred me to a charity called the Survivors of bereavement by suicide.
The support I received from these guys at the time was brilliant, and it's because of this that I have chosen to try and raise a bit of money for them.
I have stupidly decided to jump 14,000 feet on the anniversary of my brothers passing, February the 12th.
I hate flying and I can't really stand heights so this should be a right laugh...
I'm doing this jump in memory of my big brother Kev, who I miss absolutely loads and who I'm sure is up there laughing his head off at the idea of me doing something so daft, and also something I know for a fact he would never have done himself! Haha.
So on the back of that, if anybody is up for donating anything at all to support this cause (or even if you just like the idea of me uncontrollably screaming and quite possibly fainting on the way down) then it would be really appreciated.
Nice one!
*Skydive has sadly been postponed due to poor weather conditions. Rescheduling ASAP*
