Skye needs support - House fire.

I’m creating this GoFundMe for my 16 year old sister Skye. Tonight, a fire started at my parents house, in her bedroom. The fire chief said it started with a surge protector. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending how you look at it), she wasn’t home. My parents were able to get themselves and the dogs out of the house. Thankfully, Skye always keeps her bedroom door closed, and that saved the rest of the house (except smoke damage and soot)…

BUT her room is destroyed. Uninhabitable. Who knows what can be salvaged, but right now she has NOTHING.

She has been working for the last three years, sometimes 2 jobs at a time. She has worked hard for her beloved items, some which can never be replaced. As our family and friends know, 2023 has not been good to us, starting with losing my grandfather and then a downward spiral from there. Skye is absolutely devastated about our grandfathers memorabilia and personal items that may be gone forever, especially his Grinch pants.

She is currently staying with me, my parents are in their basement (fearful of leaving in case something else happens) or until they are told otherwise, and Skye’s dog is here with us.

If anyone would be willing to donate or share this, I know she would be forever grateful. We will do our best to rise from this and make sure she has everything she needs but I know it will be very hard for her to get through this without support.
