Skylar and Logan Schofield with baby Silas

On April 2nd, 2024 Skylar and Logan welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world, Silas Christopher Schofield. We all knew that Silas would face many hurdles as he has a heart defect called Tricuspid Atresia. But we didn’t know that he also had other defects in his heart that would require earlier, even more risky surgeries. Silas will need several life saving open heart surgeries, and a possible a heart transplant at 8 months old.

Skylar’s plan was to eventually go back to work or try to work from home but with all of the hospital stays and surgeries there is no logical timeline as to when or if she may be able to return to work. Once Silas is stable he will not be able to attend daycare or go to a babysitter because a normal cold can be life threatening and a definite in-patient hospital stay.

If we all pull together for this sweet family we can take at least some the financial stress away so that they can focus all of their attention and time on Silas and his needs. No amount is too small and anything you can help with is greatly appreciated.
