Skylers burial and celebration of life
Donation protected
On September 20th 2020 my son Skyler was found unresponsive and rushed to Banner Thunderbird by ambulance. Originally diagnosed with multiple brain bleeds, organ failure and two systemic blood infections. He lay unresponsive for one week. On September 27th, his 33rd birthday, his son came to visit and possibly say his last goodbye to daddy. And then a miracle happened and Skyler began to wiggle his fingers and blink his eyes. The miracles continued and Skylers fever broke, kidney function came back, and the blood infections tested negative. On October 5th he was transferred to Barrows Neurological Hospital. This was another miracle as Barrows is a world renowned hospital and not everyone who needs or wants a bed here, gets one. Since being at Barrows, the diagnosis has changed from brain bleeds to a brain infection with multiple abscesses. This new diagnosis gives room for new hope, as it can be treated more easily than a brain bleed. The road ahead is a very very long one. I will be by my son's side the entire way. Many out of pocket expenses have already begun, starting with hospital parking, and will of course continue to surmount. If you can in any way contribute to helping with this healing journey, it would be appreciated more than words can say.
Sincerely, Tiffany Russell
