Skyler's Study Abroad Fund for Ewha University

안녕하세요~ Hello, my name is Skyler Griffin, I am 19 years old, and I am an East Asian Studies Major with a Korean Concentration at the University of North Georgia! I need help funding my planned study abroad trip from Fall '23-Spring '24 at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea.

It is required for me to study abroad for at least 9 credit hours, but I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and study for a whole year. I want to challenge myself and immerse myself in a different college/campus life and advance my current skills in Korean.

My major allows me to approach South Korea in a more holistic approach, and build my cultural expertise by exploring language, history, politics, arts, cinema, and more at Ewha. This is important to me as my goal for the future is to work and live in South Korea and teach English as a second language, then later move into publishing, editing, and translation for Korean-English works. Being abroad and studying at Ewha will allow me to advance my Korean, take classes in Korean, gain a global perspective, practice adaptability, and build my portfolio.

These funds will allow me to pay for airfare, my passport and visa, housing, and part of my course materials.
