Helene Devastation - Skyline Village Inn

In the face of devastation, the communities of Spruce Pine, Marion, Little Switzerland, Bakersville, and surrounding areas in McDowell and Mitchell Counties need your help.

These mountain towns have been deeply impacted, and while our business has come to a complete standstill and will probably be closed for the foreseeable future, we see a unique opportunity to help stabilize and support our neighbors.

This is one of the most heart breaking things that we have ever seen in this area. .

We are incredibly fortunate to have an overwhelming amount of support from a network of individuals the are donating their time, resources, love and energy.

The outpouring of generosity from so many people eager to contribute is hard to believe.

We understand there won't be a quick fix to this situation, so we’re committed to establishing sustainable efforts and helping for as long as we’re able.

We’re setting up shop at The Skyline Village Inn immediately to serve where we can. This operation will provide essential services and will act as our center for relief efforts in the following ways:

- Providing clean water, food, and support.

- Allowing us to coordinate the distribution of aid that is flowing in from all across the region and beyond.

- Supporting local businesses, churches, and agencies in their own relief efforts to restore the community.

- Help with wellness checks and deliveries for as long as we can and/or as long as they are needed.

- Helping cover the costs of staffing, to ensure that this operation can continue through the winter and as long as there is a need.

- Charging Stations

- Any and All Needed Supplies - hygiene products, clothing, non-perishables, diapers, formula, etc etc etc

- Temporary Housing for Volunteers and Workers
