Slack Key Show Ohana - Fire Relief Fund

Donation protected
As many of you know, our island home, Maui, has been decimated by horrific fires. Over 2000 people were displaced, and over 300 homes and structures burned to the ground, including our beloved Lahaina public library and Front Street, where tourists gathered to shop and dine. This disaster has affected our Slack Key Show Ohana, among countless others.

George & Nancy are blessed to be safe and sound on their farm on the cliffs of Kahakuloa. Lahaina; not so Lucky!

Carla, Peter's mom, reported that Peter deAquino's house and vehicles were saved, but Sterling Seaton's house burned down with all his possessions, his girlfriend Kristina's car, and their beloved cat. We anxiously await news from Jason & Vania Jerome on the status of their business, Lahaina Music. Our workshop storage unit may also be burned.

All proceeds donated will go first to the Slack Key Show and June Workshop Ohana and their immediate needs. Any remaining funds will go to the Maui Food Bank to help feed and sustain the people of Maui. We would also like help developing legislation for a foreclosure moratorium while Maui rebuilds (Click Here to Sign the Petition). Rebuilding the local economy could take years, acting Gov. Sylvia Luke said, adding that the blazes remade the landscape, from destroying homes and businesses to taking down infrastructure and broadband capabilities. "It will be a long road to recovery," she said.

With Lahaina's infrastructure decimated and no tourists on the island, our livelihoods are at risk. Any help is greatly appreciated.
