Hello friends and family. I apologize for the intrusion, but I'd like to introudce you to the San Mateo Slammers 10B All-Star team - 13 girls, all gamers and great kids. They have been accepted into the Triple Crown World Series Fastpitch Softball Tournament in San Diego, CA. Its a week long tournament and the girls are so excited to be able to travel and strut their stuff far away from home.
These girls have been practicing or playing pretty much every single day since mid-May and have put their hearts and souls into this team. They have improved every week through hard work and it has been an honor for our coaches and parents to watch them grow. The Slammers have played 5 tournaments thus far and even placed 5th in the NorCal Championships last week.
The Fastpitch World Series will be taking place from July 11-16 in San Diego. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these girls to represent San Mateo and make lifetime memories participating in this championship event against teams from all over the state.
With such a long season and lots of travel, there is quite a financial burden for all the families. Any funds raised will be split evenly amongst the families.
... if you could consider contributing to the girls - even a small amount - it will help those team parents with accomodations and tournament fees during this week of playing time.
