!!FISHER UPDATE!!
Saturdays surgery went good. They went in to just change his dressings and do a wash out. Unfortunately, he will need more narcotic skin removed on Tuesday. It is looking like he will lose the skin on his palm and the back of his hand. He already has about 3 inches gone all the way around his bicep, he has a small spot forming in the fold of his elbow and the skin on the top of the foot that we thought was bouncing back is not. With all of that being said as long as we keep this to soft tissue we can always fix the skin. He will be having 2 surgeries every week until the narcotic skin stops then we will be able to start the skin grafts. His surgeries will be every Tuesday and Friday. Phase 1 is soft tissue, so this is just a little set back. he is staying positive. We are learning how to communicate new and private needs...
PT is coming in and we are working on transferring to the chair primarily on his own with the assistance to guard the arm and leg.
ANOTHER UPDATE!!
Fisher Update:
Fisher's second surgery went great! Dr said the skin around his bicep did not survive so that has been removed and he now has a wound vac on that. His foot has been cleaned as well as the hand. A wound vac remains on his foot as well. Next surgery is Sat or Sunday and then another Tuesday or Wednesday. This weekends is going to be more of a dressing change and wash out then surgery 4 is reassess. Hopefully skin grafts can start next weekend.
After all wounds are closed and infection is no longer concern we will address bones and nerve.

UPDATE!
Fisher is in roon 481 at Dell children's. He is out of the neck collar with no injuries to his neck. His left elbow/arm, left hand and left foot were all caught under the utv when it flipped and landed on him. He has another surgery scheduled for Thursday morning. Continue praying and sending positive healing vibes up for Fisher!
Hi, I'm Ashley, this family is very dear to me and they experienced a very traumatic accident. Fisher was enjoying playing with his brother after school when they flipped a UTV. Fish experienced a possible partial amputation of his arm and foot. This family is one of the most sweetest, giving, and caring families. They are part of our football, baseball, and cheer community, as well as very involved members if our town. If you know fisher you know he is the most selfless, loving, positive young man. The Slaydon's could use your love and support and prayers during these times ahead. If you are able to please donate to this family, you will be helping with medical expenses and gas to make it back and forth from the hospital and home. Also they will be out of work for a little bit so this will help with everyday finances. Thank you for however you are able to help even if you just share it makes a difference!
