Sleep Family House Fire Recovery
Donation protected
On January 16, 2025, the Sleep family—Chris, Victoria, and their three children (ages 8, 6, and 11 months)—experienced a heartbreaking tragedy when their home was destroyed by fire. Thankfully, the family was not home at the time, but their two beloved dogs sadly did not survive despite heroic rescue attempts, and their cat remains missing.
Chris and Victoria are pillars in their community. Chris serves by helping with worship at Kings Church, while Victoria leads Hey Mama, a playgroup in Saint John. They have always shown the heart of Jesus, selflessly serving and supporting others.
Now, it's our turn to help them.
To ease their burden, we’re organizing a central fundraiser to support the Sleep family as they begin to rebuild their lives. Rather than overwhelming them with material donations, we hope financial contributions will allow them to meet their most urgent needs.
If you’ve been touched by Chris and Victoria’s kindness or would simply like to support a family in need, please consider donating. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help as they navigate this difficult time.
If you have clothing, shoes, books or toys, they can be dropped off at 4 Southwest street, just up the street from Scholtens. The children are an 8 (almost 9) year old girl size 8-10, 6 year old boy size 6-7 and 11 month old boy size 12-18 months.
Victoria is a size SM/M women's and the Chris is a size 32 waist in pants and M/L in shirts.
We also invite you to keep the Sleep family in your prayers as they heal and rebuild.
Thank you for your love, generosity, and support.
