Sleep Out To Help Out
On 25th November i'll be sleeping outside with our Mayor Sue James to help raise money for St Petroc's the Cornish homeless charity.
We will have the security of sleeping out for only one night, and on the luxurious streets of The Eden Project to boot. It feels so far away from other members of our community who sleep out on actual streets every night of the year, but hopefully it will help raise a few quid to help those people who so often get overlooked in our society.
Homelessness has always been an issue in our towns and villages. More recently the Housing Crisis has opened our eyes to how vulnerable our own positions are or could be. Many local people are being faced with the very real threat of homelessness as a result. I want to do my very small bit to help out and am asking you to put some money in the pot to support those in a less secure position.
If you would buy me a pint (Or two) for my birthday then instead I ask you to put that money into this project.
The support from St Petroc's makes a real difference to a lot of peoples lives. Lets help them out!
Cheers all
