Slowik Family Adoption

Meet Harukah Shalom, the little girl who is supposed to be the newest addition to the Slowik family!  We secured the funds necessary – thanks to many donors, the kids' bake sales, our personal savings, and a home refinance to get the job done. We were literally a day from jumping on a plane - everything was booked!

Unfortunately, the US government stepped in – need I say more? By the end of a lengthy review, the US Department of State  changed the path of the adoption, requiring  us to go through the Japanese court system rather than the existing established path. Due to legal fees, long term care fees, and now a lengthy in-country stay, we are currently in need of $20,000.

We have applied for grants, etc, but there are no guarantees in this slow process, and we need to fill in the financial gap as we have run out of time.
