We have now moved to trying to find clinical's so we can continue our fight. We have exhausted traditional treatments like chemotherapy. Please continue prayers for our family.
We will have to travel out of town for immunotherapy should we be accepted into a clinical.
Diagnosis:
February 6, 2016 Jeff received a diagnosis of Stage IV Colorectal Cancer, Liver metastasis. Unfortunately Jeff’s cancer isn’t operable or curable.
About Us:
Jeff is a loving dedicated husband and father. Jeff and Joy have been married 18 years. Jeffrey Jr. currently attends Elon Law School and lives in Whitsett, NC with his wife Rebekah a local elementary school teacher. MaKayla is a senior at Fred T. Foard High School. MaKayla is looking forward to attending Gaston College in the fall of 2018.
The Porter families resolve:
Jeff’s cancer fight is ongoing. Jeff hasn’t been able to work since April 2016. In 2016 Jeff and Joy had to pay $16,000.00 out of pocket for basic medical/insurance cost. Joy now works three jobs to help keep the family afloat. MaKayla has taken on two part jobs and continues to look for better employment opportunities to help at home.
Jeff has just finished overall chemotherapy cycle 44. Jeff’s chemotherapy is ongoing until chemotherapy no longer works. Jeff also fights the cancer with organic foods and supplements.
Goal: *Update 06/18/2018* Our medical bills are over $60,000.00
The fundraiser goal is $50,000.00 which we have raised only $5,000.00 of. The funds are used to pay medical cost and immunotherapy. The funds raised go towards these listed costs which insurance will not cover.
