Small Ballet Studio Destroyed in Paradise Fire
Donation protected
Northern California Ballet in Paradise, California lost their studio and storage unit in the devastating Camp Fire of Nov. 8, 2018. Most of the dancers, along with the director, also lost their homes and belongings. This year, our Nutcracker was going to be accompanied by live music provided by the Paradise Symphony Orchestra. Our town's performing arts center still stands, but the town lost electricity, water, roads, etc., and our studio was completely destroyed. Thirty years of costumes - poof. We are heartbroken. It was almost more devastating seeing pictures of the studio than seeing pictures of our leveled homes. We are really hoping that we can somehow pull together and perform a Nutcracker in January. We need lots of help getting back to classes, paying for a new studio space in a neighboring town, and planning for future performances. Your help is so greatly appreciated!
