Small business destroyed by fire.
Donation protected
My husband George and myself started a small hobby wood turning business in 2020. We were in lockdown and could not go to work as we work in a restaurant.
George has always had a passion for woodworking and has made beautiful pieces. He decided to try his hand at wood turning. Then I started turning. Soon we had a lot of stock and opened up an Etsy shop.
Etsy did very well for us And we decided to try your hand at vendor shows as 2021 also was still terrible for restaurants so we weren’t getting very many shifts at work. The vendor shows worked out very well for us and so we have continue doing it.
March 27, 2022 we completed The first day of a two day vendor show at Hernders Estates winery in St.Catharines. And we find out late that night Hernders caught on fire and completely took out our inventory. Our small business is now wiped out and we have to start from scratch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is going to be extremely hard to recover from without help.
We are not the kind of people that ask for help, we would rather help others, but at this point we don’t have a choice.
We will pay it forward when we get back on our feet.
