Small Organic Farm - Simple Strimple Farm - NJ
In 2019 we formed and started our first garden plot with the hopes and dreams of turning it into a working Farm, to feed ourselves, friends and family as well as
the community with clean, fresh organic produce. As we sow the land the
reverence for those who Farmed this family land came to the surface. With a saw mill that dates back to 1890 and land that has been farmed for generations, the ghosts of the past became inspiration for our future.
We all know how 2020 turned out which put a new perspective on our calling
to become Farmers. What started out as a dream of a Vegetable Farm quickly
shifted into a well rounded Chicken and Vegetable Farm. We quickly got egg
layers and fell in love with those beautiful little raptors. You know what they say once you get chickens,.....you get more chickens. Shortly after getting our hens
we decided to raise chickens for meat, which has been a complete success. After
raising chickens for meat and promoting on Facebook and local groups, we met
our sales goal quickly and came to realize "Hey we are pretty darn good at this".
After gleaming feedback from our customers being told we have the best
chickens around it became clear this truly is our calling.
That being said going into the 2021 season we want to scale up. The goal is to
raise and produce more vegetables and chickens as well as eggs for our local
community. We take the quality of our goods very seriously (rumor has it Farmer A'cob sings to the chickens in the morning) and use only organic practices and
humane processing of animals, all done on Farm.
So hear we are, asking you to be apart of our dream, this entire experience has been immensely humbling and gratifying finding our calling in life. We could not be happier that our path has lead us to a place where we can feed Ourselves, our Family and our Community.
All donations will be used to improve infrastructure, bringing livestock onto farm and feed costs. We don't see these donations as a benefit to the Farm but rather
to the community as a whole.
