Smart phones for Big Issue vendors

I'm raising money for the local Big Issue vendors. I live in Perth and afiten buy the Big Issue, mostly though I don't have change or cash on me at all.
Big Issue vendors can now take payment via contactless but they require a smart phone for the necessary app.
There are only three vendors in Perth and would all hugely benefit from a smart phone which can be purchased for £100, including a phone protector and Tesco mobile sim card. 
Please chip in a little to enable these folks to build on their own Big Issue enterprise.
The plan is that I will purchase the phones from Argos and the case and but Gifgaf sims with 15 gb data.
