We look forward to creating a true to life, fun and creative experience and supporting families on the day.
We are fund raising as during this pandemic all physical funding raising were cancelled and Covid-19 funding became the focus. We focus on children and their family’s having a fun and creative learning experience and wish to continue to do so.
BACKGROUND:
Smart Kid charitable organisation. Took a decision to take a charitable route and bring in board members/team to help run Smart Kid, as the co-founder decided to become an interim board member, taking a back seat on the management of the project due to her ill health.
As a board member, Marcia is able to have an input in overseeing the project and the objectives of the organisation, without taking on full responsibility for the running of it and looking after her own health and wellbeing.
Marcia has Lupus, Elhers-Danlos Syndrome and had fought and won the battle of several different forms of cancers.
This Super Mum, as named by her daughters and the original name for SmHeart Kids, is ambitious for Smart Kid’s charitable organisation to do well and help all the other Super Mums out there by continuing to provide a quality childrens creative programme . For the past 15 years the programme was mainly funded from Marcia's other business ventures and partnerships, but this will no longer be possible.
WHAT WE NEED:
Marcia and Smart Kid’s need your help. We are trying to raise the £5,000 needed to run the next programmes. Your help will enable us to continue to support the parents and children, giving Marcia a much deserved break, with the confidence that her hard work has not been in vain.
The programme is still fun and creative and it has included over the years an array of activities such as:
Coding, App and game making
Roller skating & Roller Dance
DJ skills and Radio Presenting
Comic design - cartooning
Music, poetry and rap
Clothes customisation
Dance and cheerleading
Brazilian soccer/ football skills
and much more....
If you would like to make a donation to our projects we would really appreciate your support. We are available to provide further information on request.
Also if you would like to participate as a workshop facilitator/exhibitor please contact us for more information.
Kindest Regards
SmartKid Team
