Smash for Success! Luna's first Table Tennis International

Hello friends, family and table tennis enthusiasts!

We are excited to introduce you to Luna, a 16-year-old Greenhouse Sports table tennis player looking to raise £1,200 to represent England and compete at the International Secondary Schools Table Tennis Competition in the Isle of Man at the end of June 2024 and secure the correct equipment.

About Luna:

Luna started table tennis as a beginner when she came to the Greenhouse Sports Centre with her primary school, St Edwards, and her love for table tennis grew. She then attended the Afterschool Club at Greenhouse and from then she has spent countless hours perfecting her techniques, honing her skills and demonstrating her unwavering determination to succeed. Her hard work has paid off, as she is now one of England's top-ranked players in her age group.

Amazingly, she has now earned her spot in her first International School Table Tennis Competition where she will be representing England in the U16 Girls Team.

Her dedication (training over 12 hours per week), hard work and exceptional talent have brought her to this momentous stage, where she will have the opportunity to shine even brighter. This achievement is a testament to her unwavering commitment and serves as an inspiration to countless others.

As she prepares to showcase her skills on a National level, remember that she is not only competing for herself but also standing as a role model inspiring young individuals everywhere. Her accomplishments transcend boundaries and exemplify the heights that can be reached with determination and passion.

The Opportunity:

This June, Luna has been given the incredible opportunity to represent England at the International Schools Competition in the Isle of Man. This event brings together talented young players from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man and Guernsey, providing Luna with the chance to compete with the best and learn from them and grow as an athlete.

What We Need:

To make this dream a reality, we must raise £850 to cover Luna’s travel expenses and accommodation. We understand that times are tough for everyone. Still, every little bit helps, and we appreciate your support.
