Want to join in making a difference? Smithville High School's Student Council is raising money to benefit Special Olympics, Inc, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
This event is a unique opportunity to show your bravery as you support Special Olympics by walking, running, or crawling into the frigid winter waters of Smithville Lake.
Please Note: Participants must be at least 13 years old and raise a minimum of $75 each by event day.
Also, when donating, please comment the name of the participant you are donating for tracking purposes. If you plan to participate please fill out the Participant Sign Up form using the link below. Participants will also need to print, date, and sign the participant waiver form and email or mail the completed form to the included contact on the waiver form.
Participant Information/Knowledge:
13 years old or older
Must have a driver for after plunge
Cannot stay in water longer than 5 minutes
Do not fully submerge during plunge
No diving or jumping in
Bring a change of clothes, a towel, and a pair of dry shoes
Must have protective footwear (old shoes or water shoes)
Those with a history of pulmonary or cardiovascular issues should not participate
