Smokin’ Bowls Flood Recovery
Donation protected
Hey Everyone,
Thank you to all who have reached out, and have come to physically help dig our way out of this mess. Thank you to everyone for being here in support of our cause.
On Monday morning around 6:30 am we received notice that our new restaurant space and trailer were taking on water and fast. We drove out to helplessly watch things like our 1,000 gallon propane tank, dumpsters etc sail away with the power of Mother Nature. It was the most heartbreaking sight and we were able to make it home safely before all roads in and out became closed.
Both the restaurant and the trailer were new ventures this year. We went out on a big limb to make them happen and didn't even begin to make any income. We are not covered by insurance and are unsure how we will be able to recover. We are a small family venture run by two hardworking Vermont folks who have no outside backers. We're overwhelmed by the whole situation and are doing our best to work through it all to the best of our ability. The damage is intense and hard to navigate.
We are looking to rise from the ashes and rebuild our livelihood somehow. We are asking anyone able to donate to our cause to please do so here. Anything helps! Word of mouth of our cause as well as sharing of this link is also just as helpful. Together we can make some good of the bad!
All raised funds will be used to replace lost food stock, damaged equipment, rebuilding of trailer, the bills that keep coming, continued clean up efforts, and hopefully an eventual reopening!
Laslty, we are humbled by this experience and are beyond blessed to have any and all support. It helps staying sane through this all a little easier! We are very grateful for everyone that has helped through volunteer efforts and emotional support so far. We are Vermont Strong.
