Family relief while Little Ryan fights Leukemia
Donation protected
Hi this GoFundMe is being started with a heavy but hopeful heart on behalf of Ryan, Christina, and their son Little Ryan.
Months prior to diagnosis Little Ryan had not been feeling well. He had been to the doctor a few times with fevers, fatigue, and joint pains which doctors attributed to a virus, ear infections, etc. While his mom Christina was in the hospital having their second child, Little Ryan was expressing pain, showing extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, and shortness of breath. The day after Christina was released from the hospital, she took him to Los Robles ER in Thousand Oaks where he had previously been seen. They ran blood work and a CT scan. After receiving the results doctor were extremely concerned, Little Ryan was very anemic, and they expressed the possibility of Leukemia. He was immediately transferred to UCLA MATTEL CHILDRENS HOSPITAL for more testing. Meanwhile Christina is still battling high blood pressure which had caused early delivery of their new baby. It was at Childrens Hospital on November 15, 2023, that Ryan and Christina received the worst news any parent can receive, their 2-year-old little boy has ALL Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Little Ryan had to endure spinal taps, steroids, and Chemotherapy inpatient over a period of 3 weeks. With the help of family taking care of their newborn baby, Christina and Ryan never left his side while he was in the hospital. Little Ryan has since been released on outpatient treatment of weekly chemotherapy, more spinal taps, and scans. Currently this amazingly tough little fighter just finished his first round of chemotherapy called The Induction. Little Ryan will now be starting the next phase of Chemo called Consolidation. While doctors are optimistic this is a very long and tough battle.
Since being released Little Ryan has to be in a completely sterile environment. He is a high risk as any illness could be life threatening. Due to doctors' orders, hospital stays, ongoing treatment visits, and a new baby his dad Ryan has not been able to work. The owner of their rental house informed them they are selling the house, and they have to move by end of January.
This family has more on their plate than anyone should have to handle alone.
We are hoping to relieve some of their stress by raising money to help with monthly bills, food, gas, etc. While we know that tough times have hit a lot of us especially this time of year, any little bit adds up and helps.
