Loughborough Family Home Flooded - ft on skynews

Hi, my name is Jacob. Early hours of this morning (Wednesday 3rd Jan 2023), our family home was flooded, due to the local canal bank bursting.

We tried our best to fight it, with buckets and mops but were completely overwhelmed. The water inside the house is now knee height and in the front and rear garden.

We are very grateful that my father in law, mother in law, sister in law, wife, our 7 month old and I are safely upstairs, awaiting rescue.

However, most unfortunately, as my father in law is in the process of combining the 2 semi detached houses into 1 (to act as a family base/home), we do not have home insurance for the 2 houses, as we were awaiting the EPC certificate etc.

Terribly unlucky circumstances, if you or anyone you know could help in the slightest, to help our family get back on our feet and begin to sort out this nightmare, it would be greatly appreciated.
