Supporting Kylie Through Cancer

Our dear Kylie Rae is the most wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, grand-daughter, and friend to so, so many. Above all else, Kylie is the most amazing mother to her 3 year old daughter Theodora. In June, Kylie and Theodora moved into their first home together, just the two of them. This move was meant to be a happy new beginning for Kylie and Theo. Tragically, a few short weeks after their move, Kylie was diagnosed with triple positive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. Thankfully, Kylies prognosis is good. However, this particular form of breast cancer is very aggressive, so in turn, the treatment approach needs to be equally aggressive. This means that Kylies road to recovery will be a very long and hard one. Kylie has undergone one round of chemotherapy and will need to undergo approximately 8 more rounds before they are able to operate to remove the cancer. They will also need to remove her lymph nodes to ensure the cancer does not spread any further. Following surgery, Kylie will need to undergo additional chemotherapy, and possibly radiation. This means that Kylie will be off work, on un-paid leave for a year or more. Any funds raised will be used to help Kylie pay her bills, rent, and any other expenses she may incur while navigating her long road to recovery. Without the added stress of financial worry, Kylie will be able to focus more of her energy on healing. 

Kylie is the strongest, most giving, and resilient woman that I know but right now she needs us to be there for her to lean on, and to collectively give her all the love and support she has always given us.
