SNARE TRAP CAT

Donation protected
This is a very trusting and gentle ferrel cat that is approximately 5 years old. We have been feeding this cat we call Dough-nette since he was a kitten and have not been able to catch him in order to have him neutered.

Approximately 2-1/2 months ago he had been dragging a nylon rope or what appears to be part of snare which has been tightening around his hind quarter of which you can see in the picture above. Originally this rope/snare was about 2 feet long and Dough-nette was able to chew this nylon rope down to about 4 inches but as he has tugged on it became tighter and tighter. It is so tight now you can get anything under it to remove it. It is cutting into his flesh and very infected. Two weeks ago, he came to feed and we were able to pet him while feeding and we tried to remove the snare but Dough-nette became agaitated and meowed loudly in pain. He then hissed and wanted to bite as we tried desperately & quickly to cut this snare. We had to let him go and we have not seen him since.

We put out a live trap hoping we would be able to catch him. We were unsuccessful until this morning.

Dough-nette is in critical need of veternian help and his condition is worsening daily.

Please help.
