Snezana’s birthday fund raiser

Most of you reading this will know the name Snezana as you will have adopted your precious dogs thanks to Snezana and Milka .

These two lovely and compassionate young women, quite a few years ago now, started to rescue stray, sick & injured street dogs & puppies (and a few cats ) from the streets in Macedonia.

They organised health checks at the vets & treatment for any diseases & injuries before putting them into kennels, where they would be safe until suitable homes could be found, mainly in Europe, particularly GB.

I first had contact with Snezana in August 2019 when I fell in love with a photo of a dog called Lina, posted on Facebook. I did not even know where Macedonia was!

Strays Without Borders as an organisation did not exist at that time but Snezana and Milka were rescuing dogs from the streets of Macedonia back then & with the help of other British Rescues, shipping them over to homes here.

Subsequently with the help of a few volunteers here, Strays Without Borders, as you know it now, was born and a website created.

Some of you may not realise that Snezana works full time but has dedicated her spare time to helping these animals in need.

I think many of us know that stray dogs in Macedonia are routinely considered to be vermin & are shot, poisoned , stoned or hit by cars.

Now to the reason for this post - It is Snezana’s birthday on Valentines Day& the volunteers at Strays Without Borders thought it might be appropriate to have a fund raiser to help pay for the 60 dogs currently in kennels awaiting homes and also to say thank you to Snezana and to help her & Milka rescue more dogs,

just like ours .
