Baby Barowsky

On July 25th Bill and Mary Barowsky received the news that no parent should ever have to hear!  It was discovered that their son, 2 yr old Ahren Barowsky had a brain tumor! He was taken in for emergency surgery and endured 4 hours of surgery to remove the tumor. After the tumor was removed Bill and Mary would have to wait seven days to find out if the tumor was cancerous while baby Ahren laid in ICU. Seven days later after watching their precious little boy lie in a hospital bed, they were given the news that would change their lives forever, baby Ahren has cancer! He was diagnosed with a embryonal tumor and would have to undergo chemo. Baby Ahren has currently received his second round of chemo treatments with several to go, he also has several MRI's and a stem cell transplant ahead of him. Baby Ahren has been strong through all of this and is the talk of the hospital due to his good spirits and how well he is handling the chemo so far. He is currently on a feeding tube and is receiving occupational, physical, speech, and music therapies, all while mom has been by his side 24 hours a day. Mary has not worked since the diagnosis. Baby Ahren's dad, Bill, is a firefighter and heroically serves his community with the Sugar Creek Township fire department in Indiana. Bill has served his country and community in the Navy Reserve and the fire department for the last 24 years. Bill and Mary give selflessly of themselves to their community and now need to be rallied around in their time of need. Please consider giving any amount that you can to help the Barowsky family, as they have a long road ahead of them to provide the needed treatment for Ahren as he fights to overcome his cancer. This is going to take a huge financial toll on this wonderful family and they need assistance. Bill is still serving with the fire dept, while Mary is taking FMLA leave from work, to make sure baby Ahren has someone by his side at all times while he fights to overcome this debilitating disease.
