Lexi Heilker Medical and Memorial Fund

On Sunday, October 18th Lexi Heilker was the passenger in a car that was hit head on at a high rate of speed by a jeep traveling the wrong direction on a highway in South Carolina. Her boyfriend, the driver, Reese Russell did not survive the accident nor did the two people in the jeep. Lexi was taken to the hospital, unresponsive with multiple injuries. In the past few days she has endured multiple surgeries to not only relieve swelling in her brain but also to repair broken bones. The pressures in her head have been stable for the past few days but Lexi will need to keep fighting and hopefully having more good days than bad. Her parents, Mike and Karen, have been by her bedside since they were notified of the accident on Sunday morning. When Lexi becomes more stable the approximate cost to have her flown home to Baltimore is about $40,000. Her medical bills and rehabilitation bills will no doubt exceed what insurance allows.
