Snoopy's TPLO Operation

Hello, my name is Darren, others know me as Zeus on my youtube retro gaming channel, Zeusdaz.

 

I have a wonderful pooch called Snoopy (Black Labrador) who has been my best friend,...I would even go as far as say my kid since he was 6 weeks old, he's just turned 9yrs as of last month.

 

He is a very athletic dog as I've trained him to jump fences and catch long thrown frizbee's ever since he was young, he's always had a very happy personality and just a joy to have in my life, I truly love him, however sadly 3wks ago he suffered a bad injury.

 

Whilst catching the frizbee he started to limp quite badly on his left leg, after a few days looking after him and forcing him to rest, it was evident that it was not improving.

 

I decided to take him to the Vet and after examination of his left leg they were in no doubt that he had torn his ACL which has caused his leg to go lame, only surgery will repair it.

I have had the full quote of the procedure which includes the operation, the x-rays and the medication and it has come to a total of £3,260 approx, this does not include time off work unpaid to be with him as he cannot be alone.

I am utterly gutted and inconsolable at this time as I blame myself as it was on my watch when this happened.

Friends and family, even the vet has told me not to feel so guilty as this could have happened any time but I still feel so dreadful and have a heavy heart seeing him like this, I feel so sad for him.

 

I have never done a fundraiser before as I've always wanted to pay my own way in life but this has hit me out of the blue and it has taken a close friend to persuade me to give this fundraiser thingy a go, I'm not asking for the world, just a little help to cover this cost.

 

Please do not feel obliged to help financially if you cannot, even just kind messages would be a great help to my sadness and stress over this incident, either way I would be ever so grateful.
