Snowdonia Llanberis Run For Lee-Joshua Hodgson
On September 4th 2021 a group of us will be running up and down Mount Snowdon, the run completed will be a 10 mile round trip via the Llandberis track. The reason we are completing this run is to raise money for young Lee-Joshua Hodgson who is a 3 year old boy from Kirkby. Lee was diagnosed on Christmas Day with stage 4 metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma alveolar which had spread all across his body and was given a 5/10% chance of surviving. He had major surgery to remove a large tumour of the top of his spine on Boxing Day which stopped him walking then the cancer in his bones caused his hip to break which left him in a spica cast for 8 weeks. He’s now coming to the end of his 6 months of chemo with only one round of chemo left and he’s completed 28 rounds of radiotherapy to 4 areas of his tiny body. So far he’s doing amazing he’s even slowly learning to use his legs again but with him being fusion positive there’s a very high chance it will come back with a vengeance so therefor we are desperately looking for treatment outside of the uk for trial to stop him relapsing that’s if he gets the all clear which we’re feeling positive he will. So far we are speaking to doctors in Spain and China to see if he’s compatible for their treatments which could cost anything up to £150k. Any donations are appreciated whatever the size!
Let’s raise some money and awareness for Lee and his family, If you want to get involved on the run then get in touch!
THANKYOU!
