Snow’s MCAS medical bills

Donation protected

Thank you for being here and for reading Snow’s story:

My Tattoo artist and friend, Snow, is going through a very difficult time right now. She is self employed and has not been able to work for over a month and a half due to complications with illness and an autoimmune condition.
You can imagine this has put her and her husband in a very difficult situation.
As her medical and living costs continue to rise, while she has been trying to get well and back on her feet, she has become exhausted and overwhelmed.

Everyone who knows her understands her to be a lovely, selfless woman. She cares deeply about everyone, all her clients that she meets, and the people she gets to know. She cares about everyone’s story and lives. She’s an empathetic person and tries her very best to be there for people at all times, but now she is in a position where she could really use your help.

She has multiple chronic illnesses that she is battling at the moment, and was just told she most certainly has MCAS, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. MCAS is a nasty chronic illness that makes your body produce way too much histamine, which causes random allergic reactions, at any given time. Triggers can be a scent, food, environmental factor, just about anything that your body could react to. It is very hard to control as it is an extremely rare illness, affecting only about 2% of the population. It affects the entirety of your body: your organs, skin, bones, and cartilage, as mast cells are found all throughout the body. Normally, in the average person, they do what they are meant to, but for her they work against her. It affects her being able to eat, swallow food, and keep weight on.
Along with these symptoms, she experiences unpredictable flare ups of inflammation of the cartilage, joints, and skin, which makes working during intense episodes an impossibility. It has greatly affected her daily life and well-being.

Triggers such as extreme temperature changes and humidity affect her airways and cause her difficulties breathing.
Her and her husband live in a little home without A/C or heating. For the past 6 months, they have been trying to find a newer, 2 bedroom home with proper A/C and heating, without any success.
As they live in an older home, they have also discovered a problem with mold growth, which has increased their desperation to find a new place to live.
Mold deeply impairs a chronically ill person in the battle against the flare ups and overall sustained health, as the mold puts an even bigger strain on the immune system.

With her having to see multiple specialists every week, her medical bills have continued to stack up. Since she has not been able to work for the last month and a half, it has come to the point where I believe she needs outside help.

If you have anything spare to donate, I know she and her family would consider any help a huge blessing.
Please only give to this fundraiser if you really can.
Her and her husband will appreciate every little bit of help as they navigate this hard time medically, while also trying to find a new place to live.
Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts for reading this little story I wanted to share about Snow.
Thank you for sending good thoughts and positive vibes their way. We appreciate you, and much love.
