SoCap Employee Assistance Fund

As you are all aware, the COVID-19 situation has forced many venues, big and small, to close their doors. The Social Capital Theatre is no exception.  As a modest, independent comedy venue we simply do not have the resources to ensure our employees are taken care of during these difficult times. So we are asking for your help. 

Every penny raised will be given out to all those whose income is in whole or in part dependent on the work they do here at the theatre. Even in the best of times the livelihoods of arts workers are often financially precarious. This closure will make that even worse. 

Monies raised will be distributed within the next four weeks. We'll take our cue from those who work for and with us and do our best to keep them safe and free from the anxiety financial difficulties always come with. 

We'd like to thank the producers and others who have asked how they can help out. Well, this fundraising campaign is it. 

We know all of you are donating your time and energy to family, friends and neighbours. If you are in a position to donate money, this is another way to help.
