Background

New Jersey United Athletic Club is launching the Soccer Ball Support Fundraiser to pull the power of the community together in order to raise awareness and funds to purchase soccer balls. The purpose of this fundraiser is to support and distribute soccer balls to local and underfunded youth soccer programs. With skyrocketing costs across all spectrums, we want to pull community members and businesses together to raise money (TEAM - Together Everyone Accomplishes More), bring awareness to the amount of underfunded soccer programs in the Garden State and inform the community about the growing popularity of Soccer in the United States.

Purpose

Allow us to elaborate; On average, families are spending about $900 per season on each child participating in youth sport programs. For some active children, that can be as much as $3,600 a year. Now imagine your child wanting to be active and wanting to be part of a team and you cannot afford it because of the price? Right now, costs are high and the economy is forcing everyone to be a bit more frugal. This Soccer Ball Fundraiser has a collateral effect in which donating and supporting can offset some of the costs organizations have to charge parents & participants prior to the season starting. Therefore, we can help and promote more kids on the field and on a team to play, participate and remain active rather than remaining at home, inactive and most likely overusing technology for entertainment and distraction.

Goals

These organizations and programs we want to support can range from youth, travel and high school levels. The goal would be to raise $10,000 by Wednesday, January 1st 2025, to purchase about 750 Soccer Balls (ranging from size 3, size 4 and size 5), distribute 10-15 new soccer balls and soccer bags to each program by Friday, January 31st 2025, and support a total of 50-75 local & underfunded soccer programs. The idea here is to pull a community together to do more with less and to prove that, together, we can all accomplish more. We seek to bring a blinding light to the power of a UNITED effort and our mission in UNITING the communities, within New Jersey, through soccer.

Application

Each organization or program that is in need of some assistance and can benefit from the Soccer Ball Support Fundraiser will have to submit an application that can be found at www.njunitedac.com under the ‘Serving You’ tab. Fill out the application form (https://forms.gle/xZN3h1GikLrXhVxRA) and you will be directed to a google form to fill out the information and submit the application. PLEASE HIT THE SUBMIT BUTTON AFTER YOU FILL OUT ALL SECTIONS.

Conclusion

Whether we are providing new soccer balls to an organization that cannot afford a new set or helping to just take away one more cost associated with operating a soccer organization during such an expensive time in our country, we are coming together to give a little so that we can cast a large net that can help A LOT.
