Social/Emotional Well-being Program

As a teacher at a public school I see students struggle with traumatic experiences and the stresses of simply growing up today. We are stepping up to meet the challenges by providing skills for self-regulation, reflection, and compassion that students can use to not only survive, but to thrive. I want to make our newest social/emotional well-being program sustainable by getting teachers trained and by providing support and classes for families, as well as students. While public schools sometimes get a bad rap, we teachers do care and want to make a difference. We need your help! So many people see the problems young people face, we are working on providing solutions. I appreciate your help and contribution for a brighter future! #WeLoveTeachers

Here is an estimated break down of costs: (as you will see this GoFundMe campaign will not cover everything but it will be a huge start):

$4,475 year-long certification (this is the sustainability portion so I can teach teachers the program in the coming years)
$1000 Parent Academy (so parents can learn and experience the Social/Emotional Skills they children are learning)
$2000 plus to get two more teachers trained (school staff changes and we need to ensure we have enough teachers trained to start the program successfully).
$300 supplies for teachers
