Sofi is going to the Olympics!

Hello friends! As most of you will have heard, the indestructible Sofi Reinoso is off to the Olympics in Tokyo!! She can still use your support but, as of June 28th we are no longer accepting orders for T-shirts. Thank you so so so much to everyone who donated and bought a shirt. It's been a pretty tough road - bouncing back from a bad leg injury that left her unable to walk just about this time last year, she'll be the first ever Mexican athlete to compete in K1 slalom at the Olympics. As well as training hard through all weathers and seasons on the Potomac river near Washington DC, she's found time to be a teacher, mentor and friend to a huge number of us. Whether its being a steezy witch on the slalom course or running stout whitewater across the world, Sofi is crushing it left, right and center.

So! We, Sofi's fan club, want to support our amazing amiga on her adventure. She will get some funding from sports bodies for her trip, but not enough to cover all the costs of her coaching, travelling and racing - so we thought it would be a cool idea to sell some t-shirts and raise some more funds to help our Potomac heroine along the road to the Olympics. To cover costs and get us a bit of a margin, we're pricing the t-shirt at $35 - but we've left it open so that if you can and want to donate more to Sofi's fund, then you can do that too.

As an aside - just in case I haven't sounded stoked enough but this whole Sofi going to the Olympics thing - Sofi has dedicated a huge amount of her time to expanding the sport of slalom in Latin America, particularly among women, and so her Olympic spot is another amazing step forward for the sport of kayaking.
