Sofia was diagnosed with a rare case of STAGE 4 COLON CANCER on November 9, 2019, just 2 days after she delivered a healthy baby boy. Even with this news, she still was in protective mommy mode and unselfishly asked the doctors if this type of cancer was genetic? They reassured her it wasn’t and that only ONE A MILLION people have this particular diagnosis of Colon Cancer stage 4 that metastasis to the liver and lungs on the right side of her body. Since then she has undergone a surgery to remove the tumor and growing mass in her stomach. She optimistically began chemotherapy on December 19th! Since then it has been an uphill battle. She is faced with the daily struggles of not physically being able to care for her 2 year old daughter Mila and 2 month old son Viktor. Although she has great support from her husband, she’s hates not being able to financially contribute. Not only has she been out of work since December and her INSURANCE CANCELS this month. A financial burden is the last thing her and her family need to be thinking about.
