Sofie’s Ramp

Hello! Many of you saw Sofie Silko’s Facebook post over the last few days explaining what she wanted for Christmas this year. She has a simple wish…a wheelchair ramp for her Mom’s new home so she can visit her Mom and spend time with her at her house.

Sofie is wheelchair bound and lives in a wonderful home with her housemates and caregivers. But she truly enjoys going to her Mom’s and baking cookies, watching movies, and just hanging out and visiting with friends and family. And if you know Sofie, she LOVES to Visit!

This last summer, her Mom, Teresa Brunetta, sold her home and moved to a smaller house. It is a great home for Teresa but needs a ramp to allow Sofie to visit.

Sofie is contributing some of her own funding and other funds were received but they are still short. With Sofie and her family’s permission, we thought an Go Fund Me would be the most effective way to gather donations. All funds received will be used towards the ramp, and any additional funds will be used towards an accessible vehicle in the future. That is also on Sofie’s wishlist.

Sofie is an amazing gal who lights up any room she enters. She loves movies, Broadway musicals, and chocolate! Sofie makes this world a better place, has an infectious smile and personality, and her positive outlook on life should be a lesson for us all.
