Help Our Road to Recovery

It is with a broken heart that we are having to write this and start this account for such a beautiful and selfless person.  

We had planned to put together this gofundme account in order to get support in funding for treatment to help cure our mother and sister from cancer. 
Our sister Toyin Sogunro, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2014 and began getting treatment of radioactive iodine therapy.  A couple months later it was discovered that the cancer had metastasis to her lungs and got recent news that for the pass 4 years, doing the radioactive treatment hasn't changed the state of her cancer.  

Our Mommy, Shirley Ball Sogunro, was also diagnosed two years ago but  with multiple myeloma which is a blood cancer. She was getting treatment with chemotherapy and was later in remission. 
Recently in August we received bad news from her oncologist that she also has breast cancer. 
Now having two different cancers made treating them very difficult.  In order to get surgery for her breast cancer it was required that she stopped her chemotherapy for her myeloma, but upon doing that her cells had dropped too low taking surgery out of the equation. It was also found that her multiple myeloma had relapsed 90%.
Her oncologist revealed there was nothing else they could do, but our family didn't get up.

We researched for alternative treatment and found a local center with a more holistic and integrative approach with experience in natural cancer care.

Unfortunately her battle and pain ended November 12, 2018, a couple days before our Mom and sister could have their first appointment visit. Our beloved mother was a sweet, kindhearted women and caring mother who thought of everyone before she thought of herself. For 10 years she dedicated her time and energy on fostering children in her home. Her heart was always open to everyone and mission was to make a positive impact on the lives of all the people she encountered. Our Mom would've still wanted Toyin to follow through with her journey to being cancer-free. 

Health insurance doesn't cover natural treatment that doesn't involve chemotherapy because it doesn't follow the pharmaceutical and government control agenda. So we're reaching out for help with the health bills and also to help our family recover from the loss of our amazing Mother.

With the devastating loss of our Mom who is the rock of our family, please help ease the burden of our family in this time of need. It is going to be a long and hard process for everyone in the family and any help is greatly appreciated, whether it be prayer, donations or even sharing this campaign. Help our family recover from their unimaginable loss. 

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help fund our sister recover from thyroid cancer as well as help our family's road to recovery from such a devastating lose. We are humbly asking for your help to achieve that.
