Support our Lahaina, Maui Tiny Home Build
Donation protected
We are currently building and donating an eco friendly, non toxic, nex get fire resistant tiny home built from reclaimed invasive tree species to a family in Maui that was displaced by the Lahaina fire. Donate today to help us finish the project!
We are almost there! We have received $111,000 so far, and are still raising the last $70k to get this home shipped to a family.
YOUR SUPPORT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Our offering is a timber frame post and beam Albizia construction with breathable single wall tongue and groove panels. This home is next gen fire resistant, mold cavity free, and built from natural materials to promote a deeper connection to nature.
This 300 square foot home with double sleeping loft will be built on a 30 foot triple axel trailer.
An update on our build….
We have completed the floors and walls, windows, stairs, shelves, and kitchen cabinetry. This means we are getting very close to the finish line and getting this home shipped to Lahaina!
What do we still need to complete?
We still need to complete the roofing, electrical, plumbing, shower, and bathroom vanity. The material for the eve extensions is on the way. These will be pre built here and attached once the tiny home is located on Maui. These eves are an addition to most tiny homes you see. This creates more protection for the exterior walls from the sun and rain creating a nice environment for the residents.
Our non profit Sol Projex is devoted to shifting the paradigm in the building industry, and giving back to those in need. Our mission is to provide solutions for current global and regional problems such as housing, food sustainability, environmental pollution, and the lack of awareness on consumerist and importations economic impact.
The horrific fires and devastation in Maui has left many displaced and without homes….
From this we see a toxic aftermath of conventional homes and synthetic artificial imported building materials.
At SOL Projex, we aim to create quality eco friendly homes that are non toxic and built with integrity. Homes that we consider a healing space for those who dwell. We are devoted to getting closer and closer to building homes made from the earth that one day will return back to the earth.
Your support makes our Projex possible.
