Solar for Rose's Medical Equipment

Dearest Relatives,

Rose lives on the Navajo Nation (reservation) in Arizona. She is a spiritual leader and great grandmother; a person of grace, boundless compassion, and deep knowledge of her indigenous Diné culture.

Rose moved to her current residence ten years ago without water or electricity but with an abundance of faith and love. Eight years ago with donated materials we put up a small 150 watt solar system for some lights and cell phone charging. Due to the generous donations of some folks in California, we only just got her water hooked up a few months ago. Having indoor plumbing has been a huge relief for her and her whole family (me included.)

Now I must ask all those generous souls out there, some of whom I know and many I don’t, for help. Please. Please help me and her kids and grandkids build a solar trailer we can bring there so she doesn’t have to worry about where she’ll get her oxygen. Rose is too humble a person to ask herself.

With the money I’m asking for we can also hook a fridge up and make other quality of life upgrades. Anything above will go to more solar and quality of life improvements, but we need a bare minimum of $2,000 to build a solar generator to handle the constant demand of an oxygen machine.

I’ll be ordering many parts in advance because of current supply chain issues and the urgency of getting power out there. Taking this risk is a testament to my love for Rose and my faith in you.

(For those of you who do not know me, I’m Evan. I greet Rose as my mother. She is a lot like my mom I lost to cancer eleven years ago. I’ve been a solar installer for the past 8 years and was a licensed electrician in both New Mexico and Washington.)
