Solar power for families in need in El Salvador
Donation protected
Our project “Solar 4 Salvador” was founded by Mason Souter and Ian MacLachlan and our charitable team includes Edward Lopez, Brian Harbour, and Payton Thatcher. Our cause is focused on bringing power & energy for families in need in El Salvador. After visiting the town of San Antonio Pajonal in El Salvador (where Mason’s grandfather grew up), it was heartbreaking to see that families are living without basic needs such as electricity. This experience made such an impact and inspired us to form a charitable committee. Objective: By providing solar panels to create energy a small home that is 500 square feet or less will have the ability to access power, so that they can live with essentials such as a small refrigerator for food (65-watt)and task reading lamp (60-watt) for nighttime. Goal: Each unit is $2,200 and our goal is supporting 5-10 homes between May-June 2023. Our total target is to raise a combined total of $14,000-$22,000.
