Deep Healing Without Meds-Solar Power in Vermont!

Donation protected
Inner Fire is a 501(c)3 non-profit proactive healing community in Southern Vermont, offering a choice for adults to recover from debilitating and traumatic life challenges without the use of psychotropic medications.

We seek deep and lasting healing through an intensive program that first stabilizes a person in crisis, gradually replaces medication with holistic healing practices, addresses the core issues precipitating pain and then develops skills for growing beyond these issues and becoming an enthusiastic and vital member of their community. For more information, visit our website at www.innerfire.us.

Inner Fire is located in temporary housing, but is fast outgrowing the space. Since we opened our doors in 2015, we have accommodated 23 seekers from across the country. Nearly everyday, we receive inquiries seeking help from the U.S. and abroad that we cannot accommodate. The need is great and as our reputation has grown, it’s become clear that Inner Fire needs a new home. Inner Fire’s new home will sit on a leased portion of a 43-acre site in Brookline, VT. It will include three new buildings, along with an Art and Drama Barn and several smaller therapeutic studios, gardens, paths, greenhouses, and workshop spaces.

We’re currently at the end of the first stage of a 3-phase building and acquisition project that reflects the needs and requirements of our seekers, guides and staff. The first phase involves all site work permitting design and construction of the East Wing which will house eight seekers and provide therapeutic space. We expect the East Wing to be ready for occupancy on Jan 1st 2019. This GoFundMe campaign will allow construction of solar panels on the East Wing building and allow it to be a net-zero energy facility. The panels will be installed by SameSun of Vermont, a Rutland based solar energy company. The cost of the solar panels will be $26,000, and we hope to have raised enough for their installation by January. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
