COVID has Jason in ICU & his girls need ourSupport

Hi! My name is Melanie and I am fundraising to help support Jasons beautiful family while he fights for his life in the ICU because of COVID-19.

50 days, a little over 7 weeks, 1,200 hours, Jason has been in the ICU away from family and WORK!

Jason owns his own company called All Star Flooring and Home Repair to support his family of 7! He is married to the love of his life Billie and together they have 5 beautiful girls 17yrs, 15yrs, 13yrs, and twins that are now 19 months!

on July 21, 2022 Jason came home from a long day at work where he joined his wife who was getting the twins ready for bed. He sat down and held one of the girls then proceeded to tell Billie that his throat was really hurting. Billie asked him for more details and he brushed it off for a moment and just said I don’t know it’s just a sore throat. Within minutes Jason put his daughter down and then fell to his knees. He was no longer speaking and Billie was frantically trying to figure what happened so fast! Once arrived at the ER she was unable to go back with Jason, he was in distress when he arrived. He needed to be intubated and his lungs were failing! At this point the ER had no idea what was going on with Jason and so they came out and talked with Billie. They had so many questions because Jason had not been sick, no fevers, no fatigue, no signs, & no symptoms! Thinking that his throat swelled up and closed off because of an allergic reaction they gave him Epi with absolutely no response! They did a rapid Covid test came back negative so then they started wondering if this was something job related, environmentally related, so the search for answers continue! Intubated ventilated in the ICU that was the last conversation Billie was able to have with Jason and she was at just as much of a loss as the providers.

Billie has spent hours at his bed side day in and day out. It had been 4 weeks of he is stable, not worse before Jason woke up. Diagnosed with failing lungs due to COVID-19, MRSA, 7 weeks bed ridden Jason is extremely weak however awake which is an absolute a miracle! He will continue to fight and we will continue to support in anyway that we can which leads us to why I am asking for your help!

Just look at the pictures they speaks for themself! Jason absolutely loves and supports his family but they’ve been without him this whole time which means they’ve been without income this whole time! In a world that is already hard, in a world that is already inflated, in a world for many of us that are already struggling, imagine what you would do if you were in these shoes!

Billie has been a pillar of strength for the family while trying to hold everything together for herself as well. Knowing that Jason‘s journey is going to continue to be long and keep him from working for sometime she has started looking for a job! I told her I can’t even wrap my mind around how it is that you’re going to fit in a job! There just isn’t enough hours in the day to sit and support your husband, to care for five girls (the twins only be 19 months you know how incredibly active 19 month old children are!) School has started, kids need rides to and from school, teenagers have many Activities, the home, the meals, the laundry, etc! This mama needs and deserves some help!

They are very proud people and do not like to ask for help, they are not asking, I am! It breaks my heart thinking of their struggles and how this is going to affect them forever. Medical bills bankrupt, medical bills break people, and right now we’re not even thinking about that part of the journey! Right now, today, we need to think about how we can help her pay her mortgage, keep her water running, make sure that there’s lights on, food for three meals a day, gas so she can visit her husband or take her kids to school! They are one of us! They are a hard-working loving family of seven who were hit hard!

Jason is a hard worker and he does beautiful work he may have even done work for you!

A simple gesture of whatever you can do to help this family makes a difference!
