Solidarity with Food not Bombs Narrm
Donation protected
Food Not Bombs started its Narrm chapter in 1996 and continues today in many different ways. We always have some ongoingly costs we need support to cover. Costs are the running and upkeep of the van, which is used not only by Fnb but the radical community.
Food Not Bombs supports social and environmental justice, human and animal rights and will often cater for events that are in line with radical social change.
We are a collective of volunteers who collect, organise and distribute free food in the city. We share free nutritious ( mainly organic) vegan meals made from produce that would otherwise go to waste upto 3 times a week and we donate extra produce to the community.
"When a billion people go hungry each day, how can we spend another dollar on war? Food Not Bombs is an all-volunteer movement that recovers food that would otherwise be discarded, and shares free vegan and vegetarian meals with the hungry in over 1,000 cities in 65 countries in protest to war, poverty, and destruction of the environment. We also provide food and supplies to the survivors of natural disasters, and people participating in occupations, strikes, marches and other protests."
In so-called Australia and in Narrm we support political events and marginalised communities, such as demonstrations, First Nations campaigns and camps, refugees, street-based people, housing occupations, Neighbourhood Houses etc.
Additionally, we use our van as a means of sourcing and transporting rescued food which we share with the community.

Please share this, come and share or eat with us anytime. We are also very keen to have people join us especially on Mondays, which is on pause in September awaiting some regular people who can be involved.
