Solidarity with Raif Badawi and his family!

Raif Badawi has courageously stood up for religious freedom, democracy and human rights, which is why he was sentenced in Saudi Arabia to 10 years in prison, 1000 lashes and a penalty fee equivalent to 235,000 euros. On 11 March, the "most famous political prisoner in the Arab world" was released from prison, but he is not (yet) allowed to travel to his family in Canada! That is why we are appealing for donations: Please help Raif, his wife Ensaf Haidar and their three children to finally be able to live together again in freedom and safety!

Raif Badawi and Ensaf Haidar had to pay a high price for defending human rights. For this they were symbolically honoured in many ways (among others with the Sakharov Prize of the European Parliament), but neither the fine nor a family can live on honour alone. For this reason, civil society is now called upon to support Raif and Ensaf: Help raise the money so that Raif does not have to go back to prison, but can be reunited with his wife and children! Even small contributions help. Join in!

Le 11 mars, le "prisonnier politique le plus célèbre du monde arabe" est sorti de prison, mais il n'est pas (encore) autorisé à rejoindre sa famille au Canada ! C'est pourquoi nous lançons un appel aux dons : S'il vous plaît, aidez Raif, sa femme Ensaf Haidar et leurs trois enfants à pouvoir enfin vivre à nouveau ensemble dans la liberté et la sécurité ! Nous lançons un financement participatif pour payer l'amende et couvrir une nouvelle vie pour Raif et sa famille. Raif Badawi et Ensaf Haidar ont dû payer le prix fort pour défendre les droits humains. Pour cela, ils ont été honorés symboliquement de nombreuses manières (entre autres avec le prix Sakharov du Parlement européen), mais ni l'amende ni une famille ne peuvent vivre uniquement d'honneur. Pour cette raison, la société civile est aujourd'hui appelée à soutenir Raif et Ensaf : Aidez à récolter des fonds pour que Raif ne retourne pas en prison, mais puisse retrouver sa femme et ses enfants !
